The science behind it
We use a traditional old school method of soapmaking called "Cold Process". Essentially we mix lye with the oils/fats to create a chemical reaction called saponification. The end result is soap.
The reason it suits swimmers is that it's a proper soap. Chlorine and what it leaves behind cling to skin and hair, and a real lather lifts them off where a shower gel tends to leave the smell sitting there. Some of the bars have volcanic pumice for texture, the smooth ones have none.

Apart from our workshop in Dublin, Ireland. We have warehouses set up in the UK, USA and Canada. We will ship your order from the closes location. Usually takes us about 2-3 working days to pick pack and post it. Then it travels through the local post system quite quickly.
Is it safe for skin?
As an Irish company we operate according to the strict EU laws regarding good manufacturing practices and cosmetic safety certification.
The products themselves are made using only natural ingredients, we hear positive feedback even from those who have sensitive skin, or skin conditions. Like anything though, if you do notice any irritation or reaction, please discontinue use and get in touch.

Shea Butter
This expensive african butter is usually only used for the lable attraction, however more than half our soap is shea and olive. Which is why people say that their skin feels great after using our products.
Olive Oil
Used since ancient greece and roman times to cleanse. Olive leaves your skin feeling great at the same time.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil gives the soap its cleansing power, but it can also leave your skin feeling dry. That's why we have created the perfect balance with the shea and olive base counteracting this feature of coconut oil.

A natural exfoliant. It's only in the rough bars, for anyone who wants a proper scrub after the pool. The smooth bars have none in them.

Essential Oils
The smell comes from essential oils. Depending on the bar there are five or six in there, things like cedarwood, peppermint and orange peel. We don't use fragrance oils at all.

Questions
Will it get rid of the chlorine smell?
Yes. That's what people buy it for. Wash straight after the swim, hair included, and the smell goes down the drain with the water. If it doesn't for you, 99 days, replacement or refund.
Can I use it at the pool showers?
That's where it's best used, before the chlorine dries into your skin. It lathers in cold water too, so a sea wall shower is fine. Keep it in the Black Pack in the bag.
Is it for men or women?
Both. The bars in this bundle were picked so a couple or a family can share the one box. The scents come from essential oils and none of them is a perfume.
Rough or smooth for after a swim?
Smooth is the safer start for skin that has just been in chlorine. The rough bars have pumice and oatmeal in them for anyone who wants a scrub. The tags on each bar further up the page tell you which is which.
How long does a bar last?
On average, about 21+ showers per soap. Considerably longer if you let it dry out between swims, which is what the Black Pack is for.
Why is it more expensive than a supermarket bar?
It's handmade from the best ingredients money can buy, by a small team who earn a real living wage. We don't pay anywhere close to minimum wage. We don't skimp on our people or our product, we believe that matters.
